In this game, players would attempt to construct and complete a hanging luminescent skeleton, one bone at a time. However, they had to be on the lookout for the dreaded Stakes -- amassing enough of them could send your bones back to the casket! What was the name of this game?
Verrrry interesting...I just checked (actually re-checked) the site, and yes, it's there, with references to both skeletons and stakes. You're probably so very close, knobgobbler!
Ok... I tracked it down... a Google search led me to an old Kindertrauma 'Traumafession' that mentioned 'Mostly Ghostly'... and you posted a YouTube video of the original ad for the 'Barnabas Collins Dark Shadows Game'. Sheesh... dunno how I missed that the first time through... but maybe I was confusing it with the other Dark Shadows game that we had... the one that uses cards and a movement board.

Hmmm... did it come in a Dracula shaped jug?
No, but there is a definite vampiric connection. And I would love a Dracula shaped jug of my own!
Im afraid I am as clueless as Alicia Silverstone on this one
I looked all over on Boardgamegeek trying to figure it out... but I didn't see anything with both glowie skeleton building AND stakes.
